2027 GETAWAY – BENDIGO AND BEYOND

Your committee has spent two days in Castlemaine and Bendigo making plans for next year’s Getaway. An early consideration was Castlemaine but we found that the town closes down from Monday to Thursday and only re-opens for the weekend so this option for a stay has been replaced by Bendigo.

After selecting and then visiting four options, we have selected an outstanding Big4 caravan park – Tasman Holiday Park, Bendigo – 15 Heinz St, White Hills. Not only is it the best by far, it is the closest to the centre of Bendigo, the least expensive and a great range of accommodation options too. Please take a look at their website. We are sure you will be as impressed as we were!

Due to clashes with a very early Easter, the Labour Day holiday and the annual ‘Country Bowls Week’ competition, all in March, we have decided to move the dates for Getaway to the fourth week in February: Monday 22 February to Friday 26 February. By only staying for the week days, we also reduce the caravan park charges.

In July your planning committee will spend another two days in Bendigo checking out the options for our activities and of course, finding a venue for the Gala dinner on Thursday night, the theme for which will be revealed closer to the event.
